Kansas basketball will hold its 28th annual "Late Night in the Phog" event Friday, Oct. 12 at Allen Fieldhouse, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. CT. Admission for the event is free, and doors open at 5:30.
Both the men's and women's teams will be introduced and will scrimmage during the evening. Fans will get to see the players' acting skills on display when skits are presented, and the Kansas pep band will be on hand to provide the tunes.
All of the festivities can watched by locals on Metro Sports of Kansas City as part of that station's Midnight Madness show. Sean Farnham of ESPNU will be at Allen Fieldhouse, since Kansas will be one of 11 schools covered in ESPNU's nationwide broadcast of Midnight Madness events. The proceedings can also be watched on KUathletics.com by subscribers of the Jayhawk All-Access channel.
Fans attending are asked to bring nonperishable goods for the "Just Food" of Douglas County.
