College basketball standings: AP Top 25 has Kansas, Missouri back-to-back

The former Big 12 rivals are ranked at No. 12 and 13 in the latest AP poll.

The latest college basketball rankings are out and two local rivals are back-to-back in the latest AP Top 25 with the Kansas Jayhawks slightly ahead of the Missouri Tigers at No. 12 and 13 respectively.

The latest poll has the Jayhawks sliding down from their position at No. 7 after a tough loss to the Michigan State Spartans last week in the Champions Classic. The Jayhawks are now 2-1 and face Washington State tonight at home.

The Tigers remained undefeated at 3-0 so far in the season, however the early season schedule has been rather light, which is the reason why the Tigers remain one spot behind Kansas.

This will be the first season in a long time that the schools will not face each other in the regular season due to Missouri leaving for the SEC. Perhaps the NCAA Tournament holds the next meeting between these two.

Indiana and Louisville are currently 1-2 in the AP poll in week four.
