The Kansas Jayhawks have won eight consecutive Big 12 titles and are being projected to make it nine in a row by an ESPN panel of experts.
Six analysts are unanimously picking Kansas to win the Big 12 again this season.
Kansas was 32-7 overall and 16-2 in conference play last season. The team's two conference losses were against Iowa State and Missouri. The Jayhawks ended last season ranked second in the country after losing in the National Championship game to Kentucky.
The Jayhawks lost Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor to the NBA, but are returing center Jeff Withey, Elijah Johnson and Travis Releford while also adding freshmen Perry Elllis and Ben McLemore.
The Jayhawks open the season against SE Missouri State on Nov. 9, but will be tested early as they play No. 14 Michigan State on neutral ground on Nov. 13. Kansas will also face No. 4 Ohio State on Dec. 22 before conference play starts.
