Five-star 2013 college hoops recruit Julius Randle will come to Lawrence for an official visit in February.

The No. 1 power forward prospect in the 2013 class, Texas native Julius Randle, confirmed to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com that he will be visiting the Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 16 for a game against Texas.

The 6'8, 215-pound Randle is one of the most sought-after prospects in the upcoming class, and currently holds offers from Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina State and Texas in addition to Bill Self's Jayhawks. Randle's first official visit came back in October on a trip to Florida, and he has already set dates to visit Texas on Dec. 15 and North Carolina State on Jan. 25.

While he was originally expected to check out Lawrence on Dec. 29, the fact that no students will be on campus due to the holiday break ultimately pushed Randle's visit to later in the season. And with the Longhorns and Jayhawks currently among the frontrunners for his services, Randle's Feb. 16 visit to watch Texas and Kansas square off could very easily prove pivotal in his recruitment. The talented forward isn't expected to announce his decision until the spring however, but the Jayhawks are squarely in the mix to land the impressive youngster.
