Carolyn Davis leads Kansas women past Minnesota

Carolyn Davis scored 20 points in just 24 minutes of action on Sunday, as the Kansas Jayhawks knocked off the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Carolyn Davis scored 20 points for the Kansas Jayhawks on Sunday, as No. 20 Kansas defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 65-53.

Minnesota and Kansas went into halftime tied at 30, but the Jayhawks pulled away in the second half, outscoring Minnesota 35-23 in the game's decisive half.

Davis scored 20 points in just 24 minutes, shooting 8-of-11 from the field, but was just 4-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Chelsea Gardner scored 14 points off the bench in just 16 minutes of action for Kansas, helping lead the Jayhawks to their seventh victory of the season.

Angel Goodrich had a game-high six assists for Kansas in the win. Goodrich added nine points, four steals and two rebounds.

With the win, Kansas improved to 7-0 on the season -- with six of its seven wins coming at home. The Jayhawks will head on the road to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Thursday, Dec. 6.
