Former Kansas Jayhawk Marcus Morris Gets Into A Bar Fight In Lawrence

Going back to your college campus usually brings a welcoming atmosphere for those who used to frolic across the yard, the places you used to venture to and the people you used to hang out with. Evidently that was not the case for Houston Rockets forward and former Kansas Jayhawks Big 12 conference player of the year Marcus Morris.

Morris was ticketed early Sunday morning by Lawrence police officers after a fight ensued in a local bar. Morris was in town for the final matchup between Kansas and the Missouri Tigers as MU will take their talents to the SEC next season. Per a report, officers were called around 2:37 a.m. Sunday to The Cave. Morris was one of two men ticketed following the dispute.

"A male employee was allegedly punched by another man after a verbal dispute turned physical," said Kim Murphree, police spokeswoman. "Another man allegedly punched the employee from behind."

No word has come out if Morris was hurt in the fight. Twin brother Markieff was in attendance at Saturday afternoon's basketball game after playing in the Rising Stars Challenge in Orlando on Friday night. Marcus Morris is scheduled to appear March 20 in Lawrence Municipal Court.
