The Kansas Jayhawks trailed early but took control early in the second half and never looked back defeating the Baylor Bears 68-54. The win completes the home-and-home sweep of the Bears by the Jayhawks who improve to 19-5 on the season.
The Kansas frontcourt once again outplayed Baylor's with center Jeff Withey leading the way. Withey scored 17 of his 25 points in the first half to lead the Jayhawks. Tyshawn Taylor added 19 points and three assists while Thomas Robinson added another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Pierre Jackson led Baylor with 16 points and four assists while Cory Jefferson also finished in double figures with 11. Quincy Acy added 10 points and eight boards. Perry Jones III was held to just five points on 1-8 shooting and was hardly a factor.
