The No. 1 seed in the 2012 Big 12 Tournament, Kansas, is gone, meaning Saturday's final between Missouri and Baylor will serve as a huge chance for one of those two at-large NCAA Tournament bids to make a case for the highest seed possible.
Based on prognostications, Baylor is looking to move past a No. 3 seed, and Mizzou could try to use a Big 12 tourney win to grab a No. 1 seed. CBS' Jerry Palm has the Tigers as a No. 2 seed (West) and the Bears as a No. 3 seed (East), while Joe Lundardi at ESPN has the exact same thing, minus a region change (Mizzou as No. 2 in the West, Baylor as No. 3 in the South). SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean has the same as well (Mizzou in the South, Baylor in the West)
