Kansas' loss to Baylor in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament has the Jayhawks sliding to a No. 2 seed in the latest round of Bracketology projections from SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean. Dobbertean points to Michigan State's semifinal win over Wisconsin as the reason for the Spartans replacing the Jayhawks on the tournament's top line.
In the Big Ten, Michigan State handled Wisconsin in their Big Ten semifinal, which means the Spartans replace Kansas on the top line for the moment. In today's final, Tom Izzo's squad will take on Ohio State, which has a shot to seize a No. 1 seed for itself, for a third time this season in the final game before the bracket is revealed (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS).
Ohio State also has a shot at claiming the final No. 1 seed should the Buckeyes defeat the Spartans in the Big 10 championship game. Big 12 Tournament winner Missouri has also stated its case for a top seed but may come up just short.
