The Kansas Jayhawks have narrowly missed out on being a top seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, but they'll still face a lightweight opponent in the first round in the form of the Detroit. The Jayhawks were bounced in the Big 12 semi-finals by a red hot Baylor Bears team that finally started to make good on their potential, but Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor should help Bill Self's team make a strong run come tourney time.

The Detroit Titans are 22-13 on the season and earned a trip to the Big Dance by winning the Horizon League Tournament. Detroit defeated Valparaiso in the tournament championship 70-50. The Lions enter the tournament on a five-game winnings streak and have won 10 of their last 11 games.
