Kansas Vs. Detroit Final Score: Jayhawks Cruise To 65-50 Victory

After a minor scare for part of the first half the Kansas Jayhawks eventually took care of business against the No. 15 seeded Detroit Titans to win 65-50. Kansas also avoided the same fate as No. 2 seeded Duke and Missouri earlier on Friday. After the first 15 minutes of the game Detroit never made a serious comeback attempt, and Kansas looked like they could be a contender.

Thomas Robinson led the way for Kansas with 16 poins and 13 rebounds, Elijah Johnson added 15 points and Tyshawn Taylor had 10. Doug Anderson was Detroit's leading scorer with 15 points and their center Eli Holman put up a double-double, but overall their offense struggled. They shot just 32 percent from the floor, and were 3-17 from three-point range.

Kansas now moves on to face No. 10 seeded Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday.
