The 2012 McDonald's All-American game, which features the top high school basketball prospects in the country, is set to tip off on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. CT from the United Center in Chicago.
Kansas Jayhawks fans will be particularly interested to watch, as one of their recruits will be on display. Perry Ellis, a 6'8" forward from Wichita Heights High School will be suiting up for the East team in the McDonald's game. Ellis had also been weighing offers from Kentucky, Kansas State and Wichita State, but ultimately decided to settle on the Final Four bound Jayhawks.
Ellis made his decision to sign with Bill Self's Jayhawks back in September. According to Rivals, Ellis is a five star recruit, and is the ninth best power forward recruit in the country.
The Jayhawks are also in the running for Shabazz Muhammad, a shooting forward from Las Vegas, and Tony Parker, a power forward from Georgia.
Televised coverage can be found on ESPN.
