Texas A&M got off to a quick start in the opening game of the Big 12 tournament taking a 27-22 lead over Oklahoma at halftime.
Elston Turner scored 10 points to lead the Aggies going 4-9 from the field and 2-4 from three-point range. Khris Middleton added eigh tpoints and five rebounds. Texas A&M hit 12-32 field goal attempts in the first half for 37 percent shooting but hold a 20-15 rebounding advantage and already have eight offensive boards.
Romero Osby leads Oklahoma with eight points at the half and also grabbed four rebounds. Andrew Fitzgerald chipped in six points while Steven Pledger had a quiet first half finishing with just two points on just two shot attempts.
