The 2012 Big 12 Tournament holds its quarterfinals on Wednesday. The No. 6 seed Texas Longhorns will play in the nightcap and will go up against the No. 3 seed Iowa St. Cyclones. Both teams will be playing in their first game in the tournament, having received first-round byes.
The two teams split home wins during the regular season. Iowa State picked up a 77-71 win on Jan. 4, while Texas evened up the series with a 62-55 victory on Jan. 24.
The winner of the game will advance to the semifinals, where they will play the winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal game between the No. 2 Missouri Tigers and the No 7 Oklahoma St. Cowboys.
