The 35th annual McDonald's All-American Game featured several of the brightest future college stars, as per the usual, and it's possible that Kansas basketball fans got a chance to see one of their own if all goes right. Tony Parker is a 6-9, 270 lb. beast in the middle, and Parker is still considering KU among several other elite-level programs. He was one of the names mentioned by Sports Illustrated as a highlight from the game. Perhaps the team's advancement to the national championship will help sway his mind.
Stephen Boyle writes, "After entering the United Center dancing as his name was announced, the 6-foot-9 Parker finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Still uncommitted, he's considering Kansas, Duke, UCLA, Memphis and Ohio State."
Parker would add one of the greatest big players Self has ever recruited if he were to land him. However one has to wonder how much the loss of Danny Manning to Tulsa could play into things. It will be interesting to follow just where he signs at this point.
