Former Notre Dame LB Anthony McDonald Transfers To Kansas

With two transfers from Notre Dame already in place in Lawrence, head coach Charlie Weis and the Kansas Jayhawks have become a bit of an outpost for Fighting Irish players looking for a fresh start to their collegiate careers. KU can now add a third player onto their roster with linebacker Anthony McDonald officially transferring on Friday.

McDonald has some ties to Kansas quarterback Dayne Crist outside of their time in South Bend, McDonald and Crist were both teammates in high school at (coincidentally) Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California.

McDonald will be eligible to play for the Jayhawks in 2013, as the linebacker appeared in just four games last season and tallying three tackles. In three seasons of action for the Fighting Irish, McDonald played in 28 games, totaling 24 tackles.
