The Kansas Jayhawks scheduled a home-and-home series with the Ohio Bobcats for the 2016, 2017 seasons.
Ohio will travel to Kansas on Sept. 10, 2016, and then the Jayhawks will make their first-ever trip to Athens on Sept. 16, 2017.
The road trip to Athens will be Kansas first ever trip to the Ohio.
Ohio's athletic director Jim Schaus talked aout the official announcement:
"These are two excellent series for our fans and the strategic growth of our football program," said Director of Athletics Jim Schaus. "Playing these types of series has been a part of our long range scheduling plan. It is always exciting to bring two schools from the Big 12 Conference and the Big East Conference to Peden Stadium."
Kansas has played Ohio only once in school history on Oct. 17, 1967 which was a game the Jayhawks lost 30-15.
