NBA Mock Draft 2012: Tyshawn Taylor, Jeff Withey Projected As Second Round Selections

Even after an incredible NCAA Tournament run that featured wins over several favored opponents like Ohio State and North Carolina, some Kansas Jayhawk players who could be considered first round talents are still coming out in the second round in the latest mock draft from NBADraft.net. Tyshawn Taylor and Jeff Withey both have pro potential at point guard and center respectively but apparently their pro stock hasn’t risen high enough to warrant a high selection just yet.

That all can change as the Jayhawk players will go through various workouts and pre-draft camps to change their draft stock. Certainly Withey should be celebrated for his incredible shot blocking skills. The NBA can’t get enough big men and Withey should be able to find a home in the first round for sure. Taylor will have to fight off the perception that he’s turnover prone. He did just that as the KU’s season wore on, but the NBA game is another level entirely.
