Numerous NBA mock drafts are starting to roll out, and Sam Amick from Sports Illustrated is back with his second as the 2012 NBA Draft approaches on June 28. The popular perception from analysts is that the Charlotte Bobcats will likely select between two players with the second overall choice in the draft: Thomas Robinson of Kansas or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of Kentucky. Amick goes with Robinson in his latest mock.
Amick writes, "Beyond the notion that Charlotte might trade its pick, the buzz about the Bobcats is that, despite general manager Rich Cho's considerable influence, it still comes down to which player Michael Jordan falls in love during this process. And while Kidd-Gilchrist is best known for his motor (something Jordan would surely love), the truth is Robinson has quite a motor himself while looking more like a franchise centerpiece-type player."
The Washington Wizards have worked out both players as well, so they are likely to choose the one that falls to them at No. 3.
