2012 NBA Mock Draft: Thomas Robinson Falls To Washington Wizards At No. 3

Thomas Robinson is going to land somewhere among the top picks in the 2012 NBA Draft, and likely at the No. 2 or No. 3 slot to the Charlotte Bobcats or Washington Wizards respectively. The latest mock draft from NBADraft.net has Robinson heading to Washington after UConn center Andre Drummond goes at No. 2.

The NBA comp given by the site is Patrick Patterson for Robinson’s game, but the Kansas product should have much more scoring potential than Patterson. Robinson just came alive in the last year after Markieff and Marcus Morris graduated from Kansas, and his work ethic and constant effort will put up solid numbers from the outset. From the draft profile:

The Wizards will likely select whomever is left over between Drummond and Robinson. Both players interviewed very well and both should offer a nice addition to their frontcourt to accompany their young PG John Wall. Robinson has more heart than anyone and one thing a prospective team knows is that he will give everything he has. MKG is also a real possibility here.
