The Thunder must feel like they've gotten a steal.
Potential lottery pick Perry Jones III from Baylor fell so far that OKC was able to select him with the No. 28 overall pick. Jones could have been a lottery pick last season, but elected to come back to school. As far as his draft stock went, that proved to be a poor decision.
There are concerns about a reported meniscus tear in his knee, and it could have been the reason he slid so far.
The 6-foot-11, 234-pound, Jones was thought by many to be the top forward in this draft class. As a sophomore at Baylor last season, he averaged 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds. Jones' game has been compared to Kevin Durant.
While the injury concerns hurt Jones' stock, the Thunder can be happy getting an elite talent at the end of the first round.
