For NBA teams, the official measurements from the Draft Combine are one of the most closely watched parts of the pre-draft process.
↵Kansas star Thomas Robinson got some good news on that front on Thursday, if the numbers he gave to CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman are accurate:
↵↵↵Thomas Robinson just told me he measured 6-8 3/4 with shoes. 7-3 wingspan and 5 percent body fat. Official measurements released tomorrow.

While he was listed at 6'10 by Kansas, no one really believed that. However, his lengthy wingspan at 6'8+ should be enough to quell concerns that he would be too undersized for the power forward position.
↵The concern with inches may sound excessive, but not when you break down how the game is played at the professional level. Basketball players throw a ball through a ten-foot hoop, and in the NBA, they rarely miss an open shot.
↵What's the best way to prevent an open shot? By being taller and having longer arms than your opponent. Robinson won't be as tall as most NBA power forwards, but he will have longer arms, which should help him to defend them.
