2013 College Basketball Recruiting: Kansas Jayhawks Currently Have No. 2 Class

So far, so good for Bill Self and the Jayhawks, as Kansas currently has the No. 2 recruiting class for 2013.

If you thought Bill Self was going to rest on his laurels following a successful 2011-12 season, where the Kansas Jayhawks made it all the way to the national title game before falling to Kentucky, think again.

Self has been out on the road recruiting (or maybe his minions have), but either way, the early results are good for the 2013 recruiting class. According to CBS Sports' Jeff Borzello, the Jayhawks currently have the No. 2 recruiting class for 2013.

Kansas has two top 50 recruits, per Borzello. Brannen Greene is his No. 25 ranked high school prospect, and constitutes Kansas' lone five star recruit thus far, while Conner Frankamp is his No. 34 ranked prospect.

Kansas' pair of top 50 prospects is matched only by North Carolina, who is currently No. 1 in the team recruiting rankings. North Carolina has a pair of five star recruits, with Isaiah Hicks (No. 16) and Nate Britt (No. 22).

We'll see where Kansas' 2013 class winds up, but so far, so good for Self and Kansas.
