Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks received a bit of a scare on Sunday. Playing in an AAU tournament in St. Louis, Conner Frankamp, a recruit in the Class of 2013, broke his foot.

Frankamp, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Wichita North, will miss four-to-eight weeks with the injury, according to KUSports.com.

"I went up for a layup, and a kid (from Oklahoma team in third-place game) took me out," Frankamp said. "I came down, and my foot went backwards. It’s a good time for me to rest, but I sure will miss playing."

It has been an eventful summer for Frankamp, who just returned from the FIBA world championships in Lithuania, where he helped the US under-17 team win a gold medal.

His injured foot will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.
