TCU Vs. Kansas 2012: Dave Campo Adjusts To College

New Kansas Jayhawks defensive coordinator Dave Campo notices some big differences coaching in college after spending years in the NFL. The former defensive coordinator and head coach for the Dallas Cowboys is still adjusting to life in the Big 12.

Campo was hired by to help boost a defensive unit that needed the help after giving up 393 points last season. He told the university's school paper website the Big 12 is different than the NFL because, mainly, of the common use of the spread offense:

"When you talk about the SEC or the PAC 12, they are almost more NFL-type leagues from the standpoint that they are all like what Texas is doing," Campo said, explaining how the Big 12 is more fast-paced with a spread offense.

Camp also coached with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars during his 22-year NFL career.
