Somehow even after dominating yet another team, the Kansas State Wildcats cannot garner any national respect just yet. Perhaps next week can change that.
After defeating the Kansas Jayhawks 59-21 on Saturday, the Wildcats showed once again their ability to dominate all sides of the ball. They are now 7-0 and one of the few remaining unbeaten teams left in the country. Bill Snyder clearly has his players focused and ready to play with anyone in the country, yet they continue to remain in orbit outside of the Top 25 no matter what they do.
The latest USA Today/Coaches poll has the Wildcats at No. 12 overall, sitting behind two other previously unbeaten teams who lost this weekend — Wisconsin and Oklahoma. A big match-up this week against the Sooners should help with that ranking if the Wildcats can win. Still it’s frustrating not to see any respect for Kansas State.
