Big 12 Power Rankings: ESPN Has Oklahoma State, Oklahoma In Top Two Spots

The Cowboys are no surprise, but it's clear the Sooners have emerged once again for the national title picture with only one loss

Today is Tuesday which means it's Power Rankings day for all things football. ESPN has rolled out their conference rankings and the Oklahoma powers are at the top with Oklahoma State remaining on top and Oklahoma jumping over Kansas State to take second place. The Cowboys are no surprise, but it's clear the Sooners have emerged once again for the national title picture with only one loss. The undefeated teams that are all left have difficult schedules from here on out and the Sooners themselves can tackle one of the giants before them in OSU.

As for Kansas State, ESPN has them third. David Ubben writes, "A 41-point loss is just that. But it's just one loss and Kansas State will try and bounce back in the toughest scenario left: a road game at Oklahoma State. Tall task ahead of a defense needing a spark."

The Kansas Jayhawks remain at the bottom of the Power Rankings and Ubben notes, "For the first time this year, the offense joined the defense in futility. Time is running out in Kansas to put together something positive at the end of the season. What wasn't positive on Saturday? Kansas' rushing yardage, at -2. That was supposed to be one of the team's strengths entering the year."
