Kansas State holds a slight 28-23 halftime lead over Loyola in a rather sloppy game with both sides combining for 21 turnovers in the first half. The Wildcats have been their own worst enemy shooting just 36 percent (5-14) in the first half from the free throw line.
Thomas Gibson leads the way for Kansas State with seven points and two blocks but is just 1-8 from the free throw line. Jordan Henriquez and Rodney McGruder each chipped in five points in the first half. Shane Southwell stuffed the stat sheet in the first half finishing with two points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. The Wildcats turned the ball over 10 times in the first half.
Ben Averkamp leads Loyola with 11 points. Joe Crisman and Johnathon Gac each have four points. Gac led the Ramblers in rebounding in the first half with six off the bench. Loyola turned the ball over 11 times in the first half while shooting just 35 percent from the field.
