The Kansas Jayhawks enter the next to the last week of the regular season searching for anything positive to come from what has turned into a very tough season for Turner Gill and company.
"We continue to be close, we're getting close to some things here," Turner Gill said. "Earlier in the year, we were not close, and now as we continue to close that gap, which we have, and be competitive in the ball game, now we're hoping this is the week we'll be able to finish a ball game and get a W."
Kansas enters Saturday's game against Texas A&M in the midst of an eight game losing streak. The Aggies are 5-5 and also riding a losing streak having dropped its last three games. Kansas figures to have their hands full trying to slow down the Texas A&M offense that ranks 12th nationally in scoring at 38.9 points per game.
However, it was the Jayhawks who put up a great effort last week in a 31-30 overtime loss to Baylor which was one of their best performances of the season. Gill is looking to build off of that and hopefully steal a win this week.
