USA Today/Coaches Poll: Kansas State Rises To No. 15 In College Football Rankings

The Kansas State Wildcats won yet another game on Sunday, raising their season total to 9 in a year that no one expected anything close to this performance (at least outside of Bill Snyder’s staff). That said, it’s still somewhat surprising that the national media or at least college football voters are still not respecting the job that Snyder and company have done this year in making Collin Klein into a nationally known product and the Wildcats into a possible Big 12 favorite. This week they are still in the middle of the pack despite a win over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday at No. 15 in the USA Today/Coaches Top 25.

The Wildcats are currently at 9-2 on the season and close things out against a suddenly and surprisingly upstart Iowa State team who upset Oklahoma State on Friday night. It will be a challenge, but Snyder’s team still should be favored against the Cyclones and that would give the Wildcats a 10-win season — something that should finally give voters the confidence they need to make K-State a top 10 team nationally.
