AP Top 25: Kansas State Fails To Generate Respect In College Football Rankings

The Kansas State Wildcats are 9-2. They have second place in the Big 12 all to themselves. They’re on the verge of a 10-win season under Bill Snyder and have an emerging star at quarterback in Collin Klein. Yet the Wildcats aren’t even a Top 15 team in the Associated Press Top 25, released today. That should be enough to motivate Bill Snyder’s team this weekend to finish the great thing they’ve started and take out the upstart Iowa State Cyclones.

The Big 12 overall has taken its lumps in this week’s rankings. Oklahoma State fell to No. 5 overall and the Oklahoma Sooners are now at No. 12 after their loss to Baylor. It’s a down year for the conference, but the Wildcats are a good story. Unfortunately, no one is interested in it.
