BCS Rankings Projections, Week 14: Kansas State Approaching The Top 10

The latest BCS standings are projected to have Kansas State ranked at No. 11 for the second consecutive week.

The Kansas St. Wildcats were off this week and by not playing they are not expected to move up when the latest BCS standings are released this evening. Kansas State does have one game remaining next week against the Iowa St. Cyclones, but even a win over them will not propel them high enough to earn a coveted at-large spot.

Yes, Kansas State will be ranked in the top-14 which would make them eligible, but with the Michigan Wolverines lurking in the top-14, the Stanford Cardinal are almost assured a spot and another going to a non-BCS team in the Houston Cougars or possibly even the TCU Horned Frogs. With only one week left in the season there is little room to move up in the BCS standings, but for this week they are expected to be No. 11.

The BCS bid from the Big 12 will likely come down to the winner of the Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State tilt on Saturday.
