BCS Projections 2011: Oklahoma State Among Big Winners

They are in the driver's seat which is now more than any team can ask for. LSU-Oklahoma State is a reality if they can win out the rest of their games.

Oklahoma State's schedule is heating up in their anticipated match-up against rival Oklahoma, but the upstart Kansas State Wildcats stood in the way first and they provided every bit of competition people believed they would. Bill Snyder's squad has been tough all season and made the Cowboys fight to put them away 52-45. But because OSU cleared that hurdle, that makes them a major winner in the day when looking at the BCS Projections from SB Nation.

Samuel Chi, SB Nation's BCS Guru, writes, "The Cowboys certainly haven't won anything yet, either, but they cleared a big hurdle by winning a shootout against Kansas State. The 52-45 victory also helped to provide a stark contrast to the defense-dominated SEC showdown, solidifying OSU's claim as the new No. 2 team in the BCS Standings. If they win out, the 'Pokes will be in their first BCS championship game no matter what happens elsewhere."
