Today’s game between the Kansas State Wildcats and Iowa State Cyclones was not supposed to be a game to worry about. After all, the Cyclones have sat in the Big 12 basement for some time and Paul Rhoads wasn’t supposed to have his team on the hot streak that they are. Freshman quarterback Jared Barnett is apparently doing something right because they are now the underdogs hoping to knock off yet another big target in Bill Snyder’s K-State squad.
David Ubben, ESPN’s Big 12 blogger, believes that despite the hype, the Wildcats will still come out on top. He writes, “A reminder: When it comes to Farmageddon: finder’s keepers. Hands off, Nebraska and Iowa. K-State gets a somewhat dramatic win in this one, yet again topping the plucky Cyclones. Collin Klein’s not going to be stopped, though the Cyclones did as well as anyone stuffing Oklahoma’s BellDozer last week. Klein is a different beast, and carries the Wildcats to their 10th win.”
His final prediction: KSU 31, ISU 23
