Kansas State is looking for its 10th win of the season but finds itself trailing Iowa State 13-7 at the end of the first quarter.
After neither team could do much offensively early in the quarter, both teams combined to score 20 points in the last two minutes of the first. The Cyclones broke through first when quarterback Jared Barnett found Darius Darks for a 30 yard touchdown strike to give Iowa State a 7-0 lead.
Collin Klein and the Wildcats offense finally hit a home run with a 68 yard touchdown pass to Tramaine Thompson to tie the score at 7-7. On Iowa State's next possession, Duran Hollis set up a 1 yard touchdown run by Jeff Woody with a 44 yard run to the Kansas State one-yard line.
