The Howard Bisons were no match for the Kansas St. Wildcats as the game was not even close with Kansas State winning 82-46. The game was over by halftime as Kansas State rushed out to a 50-18 lead. Kansas State emptied the bench in this game and had five players score in double figures with guard Rodney McGruder leading the way with 14 points.
The Kansas State defense suffocated Howard's offense by holding them to 29 percent shooting on the afternoon. Howard did have one player who was able to put up some points and that was guard Glen Andrews who led all scorers with 25 points, but it took him 23 shots to get to his 25 points.
This was the last non-conference game for Kansas State and it was a nice tune-up game before they take on their rival Kansas Jayhawks on Jan. 4
