The Bob Huggins Coaching Tree will have a reunion night Thursday night in Wichita, as Huggins and the 4-2 West Virginia Mountaineers visit former assistant Frank Martin's 5-0 Kansas State Wildcats. Since Huggins' one-season run in Manhattan in the 2006-'07 season, KSU has reentered national relevance, while his alma mater Mountaineers have been to the NCAA Tournament in all four of his seasons in Morgantown.
KSU is averaging 75.2 ppg so far this season, led by Jamar Samuels' 13 ppg (he scored 17 and had 14 rebounds in K State's 69-61 over Virginia Tech on Saturday), and averaging only 59.0 points allowed per game. So far this season, Martin's team has held opponents to .331 shooting.
