Jacob Pullen On Wrist Injury: "I'll Be Fine'

The Kansas State Wildcats beat the Texas Longhorns on Monday night and luckily, on Tuesday morning, that's still the story. I say that because I thought we may be waking up to some bad Jacob Pullen news.

With 5:55 remaining in Monday night's game, Pullen fell hard to the ground after going up for a layup and stayed down there grabbing his right wrist. He left the game as trainers took a look at home. ESPN's Holly Rowe reported trainers were saying it was a hand contusion but that was the early diagnosis.

Pullen missed just a few plays and returned to the game playing fine but in obvious pain grabbing his wrist. Following the game, he told Rowe he'll be fine. After that, he said in his post-game news conference that he's fine.

So....I think he's fine.

Wouldn't that have been cruel though? For K-State to make this comeback at the end of the season, partly engineered by Pullen, and then see him go down? I'm so glad he's going to be fine. This is going to be one fun team to watch in the Big 12 and NCAA tournament.
