The winner of the Kansas State and Colorado game will play the top dog Kansas Jayhawks on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in Kansas City's Sprint Center. That will be the semifinals of the 2011 Big 12 tournament. The bracket was set up for a potential KU-KSU matchup, which would be highly anticipated in Kansas City, and a KSU win over Colorado can get us there.
That's not to say K-State is expected to cruise past Colorado. In fact, the Buffs have already swept the season series against K-State, 2-0.
We'll also get to see Jacob Pullen and Alec Burks face off. Both guys were Big 12 player of the year candidates (an award that went to KU's Marcus Morris).
This should be another excellent Big 12 tourney game. Fans were treated to an exciting one already today with KU edging out Oklahoma State, 63-62. I wouldn't mind seeing another game come down to the last shot.
