Bracketology: Did KU Basketball Wrap Up No. 1 Seed In NCAA Tournament?

The Kansas Jayhawks basketball team advanced to 31-2 on the season defeating the Colorado Buffaloes in the semifinals of the 2011 Big 12 tournament bracket. KU basketball faces Texas on Saturday night for the Big 12 championship.

But are they a No. 1 seed no matter what? Does the Texas game matter to them out (outside of securing a Big 12 tourney title)? SB Nation's Rock Chalk Talk thinks so as the Longhorns await.

The 1 seed is locked up, but here's to hoping they get a shot at the Texas Longhorns.  They were the best two teams in the league all year; it's only fitting that they should end it on the court as both get ready for The Dance.

I'd agree. If Kansas finished 31-3, they're a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Of course, they want revenge against the Texas Longhorns after they handed them their first loss of the season on January 22nd but, as far as March Madness is concerned, this game may have little effect on Kansas.
