The Kansas Jayhawks have their first round opponent -- Boston University. KU is a No. 1 seed playing No. 16 seed Boston University in the Southwest bracket. Click here for your printable NCAA bracket.
Kansas will obviously be highly favored to win and then play the winner of UNLV vs. Illinois. The matchup with Illinois would be intriguing because that is KU head coach Bill Self's former team.
The second seed in the bracket is Notre Dame while the third seed is Purdue and the fourth seed is Louisville. Vanderbilt is the fifth seed.
There will be upsets but it looks like KU will likely have to beat Vanderbilt or Louisville to get into the elite eight. If they get there, it could set themselves up with a matchup against the second seed, Notre Dame, if they win. (It's not like the NCAA tournament has upsets, right?)
In all, KU has a decent bracket, I think. Many people thought Notre Dame would get a No. 1 seed but instead they fall into KU's bracket.
Other notables in this bracket include Texas A&M, a Big 12 opponent. They're the seventh seed so they'd need a few upsets to play KU.
