The NCAA football season has finally come to an end. The Alabama Crimson Tide prevailed over the LSU Tigers in the BCS National Championship Game on Monday night and put the bowl season to bed. On Tuesday morning, the final college football rankings were released.
The Kansas St. Wildcats were represented in the final Associated Press poll of the season, which comes to us courtesy of Sports Illustrated. The Wildcats made the No. 15 slot, but a tough loss in their bowl game appearance dropped them four slots from their previous No. 11 standing. Had they prevailed in their final game of the season, a top 10 placing certainly would not have been out of the question. They wrap up the season with a 10-3 overall record.
Missing out on the top 25 altogether were the Missouri Tigers, who only received 23 AP votes.
