This week's USA Today/Coaches' Poll came out on Sunday and the Kansas State Wildcats are sitting at No. 8 in the poll after a week off in the schedule. K-State is the second-highest ranked Big 12 team sitting one spot behind the West Virginia Mountaineers, and the two teams will meet in only four weeks.

The Big 12 run continues with Texas occupying the No. 9 spot and then TCU and Oklahoma coming up at No. 13 and 14 as well. While the SEC dominates the top six -- with only Oregon and Florida State breaking the stronghold -- but the Big 12 comes in strong after that. It will be interesting to see how conference play in each affects the rankings.

Kansas State plays Kansas this next weekend in a game that the Wildcats should be favored by plenty.
