Coming off a 27-21 road win at Iowa State, the Kansas State Wildcats moved from fifth to third in this week's USA Today Coaches' Poll.

The Wildcats trail Alabama and Oregon, who are No. 1 and 2, while Florida and Notre Dame round out the top five. All five teams are 6-0.

Meanwhile, West Virginia fell 11 spots to No. 15 after a loss to Texas Tech. That game put the Red Raiders into the rankings. They debut at No. 20.

Arizona State and Michigan are the other two newcomers to the poll and they round out the top 25.

Next up, Kansas State travels to Morgantown to face the Mountaineers. It will be the Wildcats' second game against a ranked opponent this season. They upset then-No. 6 Oklahoma 24-19 on Sept. 22.
