The Kansas State Wildcats rose in the rankings, but it's clear they still have yet to earn the respect of national voters even after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners on the road and taking out the Kansas Jayhawks by 40 at home. They're only No. 6, after all, and were jumped in the standings by West Virginia and Florida in this week's AP Top 25.
Instead of garnering enough votes to crack the top five, K-State is stil left outside of the party and they stand in the Big 12 shadow of Geno Smith and the Mountaineers. Interestingly enough, the SEC still earns enough attention and respect to jump two more teams into the top five even after losing LSU and Georgia. Here's the complete rundown.
