With a 56-16 win over Kansas, the Kansas State Wildcats moved up one spot in the AP Poll, but didn't move at all in the SB Nation BlogPoll. Instead the two polls now match in respect to K-State, with each giving the Wildcats the No. 6 spot, although they earned a first place vote in the newest BlogPoll rankings.
While Florida State, LSU and Georgia, each ranked ahead of the Wildcats after Week 5 of NCAA play, impressive victories by South Carolina, West Virginia and Florida against much higher quality opponents than KU kept K-State in the same spot.
In fact, it was the losses by FSU and Georgia that proved to be the most costly of the week, as each team fell eight spots, the second biggest move of the week, behind only Iowa State's 13-position climb. The Cyclones earned the No. 25 spot and booted TCU from the rankings altogether after beating the Horned Frogs 37-23.
