On Monday, the Kansas State Wildcats will start up the Midwestern regional of the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tipoff, facing Lamar. The winner of the K-State vs. Lamar game will take on whoever wins the game between Alabama-Huntsville and North Texas the same night. The two winners will meet at 9 p.m. CT on Tuesday in Manhattan.
Whoever finishes at the top of the Midwest Regional will head to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 21 and Nov. 23 for the semifinals of the tournament.
The Wildcats have already started their season, winning 85-52 against North Dakota back on Friday in their first official game of the season. Monday's game will be the season opener for the Cardinals. Their head coach, Pat Knight, has gone 1-3 in his coaching career against the Wildcats.
The game will be at Bramlage Coliseum at 7:07 p.m. CT. It will be televised on ESPN3.
