As a frontrunner -- maybe the frontrunner -- for the Heisman Trophy, Collin Klein can expect to be linked to plenty of end-of-the-year hardware this season. On Tuesday, the Kansas State Wildcats' quarterback was named one of 15 players on the "Players to Watch" list for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.
The 15-player list will be whittled down to five players later this month. Klein, who has led the Wildcats (10-0) to the top of the BCS standings with two games left in the regular season, was the only player from the Big 12 named.
Klein is third in the nation with 19 rushing touchdowns, most of any quarterback in the country. He's accounted for 31 touchdowns total and has a quarterback rating of 167.4, best in the Big 12 and eighth nationally.
The Walter Camp Player of the Year Award winner will be announced on Dec. 6.
