Collin Klein has been named one of 10 finalists for the ARA Sportsmanship Award. The Kansas St. quarterback has already been named a finalists for the Senior CLASS Award and to the AFCA Good Works Team, making this the third time that Klein has been honored for his work in the community.
Klein is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. As part of that, he visits retirement centers, takes part in the Read to Achieve program and has been volunteering with Kansas St/'s Special Olympics program since 2008. This is all in addition to the work his does with his church group, which is heavily involved in the community.
Of course, Klein is also a fantastic quarterback. He is the Heisman Trophy favorite and his K-State team is current ranked No. 2 in the BCS, in line for a berth in the national title game if they can finish strong and hold off their challengers. Along with his charity work, which has been recognized yet again, Kansas State has themselves one exceptional young man.
