The Kansas State Wildcats enjoyed a holiday bye week this Saturday, but even after the loss to Baylor, Bill Snyder's club remains atop the Big 12 standings. The Wildcats can clinch the conference crown with a win over Texas, as Oklahoma is the only other school with just one Big 12 loss. The Wildcats, of course, own the tiebreaker with the Sooners after their September upset on the road in Norman.
On the other end of the spectrum are the Kansas Jayhawks, who are assured of last place in the conference. In his first season in Lawrence, Charlie Weis is still looking for a Big 12 win. Kansas travels to Morgantown this weekend for the season finale against West Virginia. With one game to go, here are the complete Big 12 standings with conference record first, and overall record listed second:
Kansas State | 7-1 | 10-1 |
Oklahoma | 7-1 | 9-2 |
Texas | 5-3 | 8-3 |
Oklahoma State | 5-3 | 7-4 |
TCU | 4-4 | 7-4 |
Texas Tech | 4-5 | 7-5 |
West Virginia | 3-5 | 6-5 |
